JingJing - the panda (a symbol of strength)     
      HuanHuan - (who represents the Olympic Flame)
   NiNi - the swallow (who represents gymnastics)
    YingYing - the antelope (who represents speed)

The mascots released by McDonald's Australia were plush clip-ons which measure approximately 9cms tall.
