Every so often McDonald's Australia issue "filler toys" in between special promotions or to be kept on hand in the event of a store running out of the current week's promotional toy.

The McDonaldland™ characters Stack Up Spinners were used as filler pieces in 2002.
A special wind-up handle sets the tops spinning and a careful hand can stack the spinning tops on top of each other.
